Privacy notice
This covers this website only. The Essential Deck product is self-hosted: when you run it, your data stays in your environment and we have no access to it.
Placeholder to complete before launch: the retention period needs to be set to a real value, and this notice should be reviewed by whoever handles your legal obligations. It is written to be accurate about what the site actually does, not to be a substitute for that review.
What we collect
If you submit the demo request form
We store the name, work email, company, and message you enter. That is the entire content of the form, and it is stored so we can reply to you.
If you consent to analytics
We use a third-party analytics service to understand how this site is used — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, roughly where they are in the world. IP addresses are anonymised.
Nothing analytics-related loads until you choose. If you decline, or simply never answer, no analytics script is requested, no analytics cookie is set, and no data reaches the analytics provider. This is not a banner that records consent after the fact — the tag is constructed in the browser only once consent exists.
What we do not collect
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- No profiling, scoring, or automated decision-making about you.
- No account, because this site has no login.
- No fingerprinting or session-replay tooling.
Local storage
Two small values are stored in your browser, not on our servers: your light or dark theme choice, and your analytics consent decision, so we don't ask again on every page. Clearing your site data removes both.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Demo request details are processed because you asked us to contact you, and we keep them to answer that request and any follow-up conversation. Analytics data is processed only on the basis of the consent you give through the banner, which you can withdraw at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Who else sees it
Demo request details are visible to our own staff and are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own purposes. Analytics data is processed by the analytics provider on our behalf, subject to their terms.
How long we keep it
Demo request details are kept for as long as we are in contact with you about an evaluation, and are deleted on request at any time. Analytics data is retained according to the analytics provider's configured retention period.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can decline analytics without losing any functionality on this site — nothing here depends on it.
